Acton Gardens Primary School: Transforming School Signage for Better Visibility

At FASTSIGNS, we take pride in working with local schools to enhance their presence through effective signage and branding. Our collaboration with Acton Gardens Primary School initially involved providing school signage to create a welcoming and professional environment. However, with a change in leadership, the school reached out again, seeking an update to their signage that would also refresh their overall branding.

THE CHALLENGE

With the appointment of a new headteacher, Acton Gardens Primary School needed to update its signage to reflect this change. However, this wasn’t just about replacing a name—the school’s branding and wayfinding signage also needed improvement.

  • Outdated signs no longer aligned with the school’s evolving identity.

THE SOLUTION

To address these challenges, FASTSIGNS designed and installed a comprehensive signage system tailored to Acton Gardens Primary School’s needs.

Updated External Signage

  • 3mm thick aluminium composite panels with direct print and matte lamination for durability.

  • Rounded corners for safety and secure mounting with horizontal channels and fixing plates.

  • Vinyl ‘patch’ for the headteacher’s name, allowing easy updates in the future.

Enhanced Wayfinding and Informational Signs

  • Wall-mounted signs installed using screws with white screw caps.

  • Fence-mounted signs secured with horizontal channels for durability.

  • Clear directional signs to guide students, parents, and visitors across the school grounds.

A Bold Reception Area Welcome

  • A 5mm thick white foam PVC disc featuring the school logo, installed with 10mm batons for a raised effect.

  • Accompanying text in 5mm thick white foam PVC letters, printed in blue and installed flush using double-sided foam tape.

These updates ensured the school’s signage was functional, visually appealing, and built for long-term use.
