Howgate & Farrar

Howgate & Farrar and are local Leeds butchers with a high street shop. They required new external signage, lighting and pavement signs to replace their old set which had become worn.

The Challenge

Although designing the signage was straightforward, we had to secure the correct permissions before installation as the design was slightly larger than the previous sign. This required us to liaise with the council to ensure the new sign would be granted advertising consent.

We also had to make sure the sign could be installed to incorporate a new canopy at the bottom of the fascia.

The Results

We successfully submitted the planning permission to the council and specified the materials to use. We were then able to install the brand new aluminium sign tray with dimensional letters and down lights.

Replacing a 20 year old sign and creating a similar look using new materials was a challenge, but the end results are very satisfying.

We also supplied three smart, wooden pavement signs for Howgate & Farrar to use during their opening hours. It was great to be involved with creating the new signage for such an established local business.
