Signia
Case Study
BACKGROUND
FASTSIGNS Crawley were approached by Signia Hearing a few months before
their head
office was due to move location to help them with internal visual communication
solutions to
reflect their brand vision within the new premises.
Signia is one of the leading hearing aid brands in the world. They have
been part of the
Crawley Manor Royal business community for a number of years.
CHALLENGES
They wanted the new office to showcase the Signia brand to staff, visitors
and customers.
We needed to be mindful of the brand colour theme and vision within our
proposal as well as
providing a cost - effective result.
Signia wanted to look at the project in phases to help with budgeting.
The newly refurbished
offices provided a totally blank canvas for us to work with to reflect
their vision as iconic
innovators in the hearing aid industry.
Signia recognised that the key to this project would be not only be a partner
with sign and
graphics experience but also a proven project management history. We assured them that
Fastsigns would work alongside the Signia marketing team to carry out the
execution of this
project smoothly. By following the Signia brand guidelines closely we would ensure we
consulted with the client to understand their vision from concept to completion..
SOLUTION
FASTSIGNS Crawley were delighted to help, from the initial meetings we
worked closely
with the Signia team making sure their brand was reflected to its best
potential throughout all
of the area’s highlighted.
Our graphic design team used their wealth of experience to produce an initial
portfolio of
ideas to present to the Signia team. We then developed these through a
collaborative
approach to ensure a solution was achieved to meet the vision of the project.
We did site
visits to advise them about visibility and products that were hard wearing,
functional and
within their budget.
We began with vinyl wall graphics that incorporated a sound wave design
used in Signia’s
branding . Our production team tested a variety of products that would
work on not only the
walls but windows and glass partitions as well. We needed to be mindful
that the graphics
would not be visible on the windows from an external viewpoint. We provided
a textured vinyl
that added some depth to the graphic. The simplicity of the image really
worked and
provided a dynamic backdrop for the office.
Signia wanted a statement wall somewhere near the entrance to the office
area. This
needed to reflect a strong brand introduction as soon as guests arrived
in the office. We
provided a simple but powerful solution that used a halo illuminated aluminium
tray from floor
to ceiling that incorporated a large illuminated logo in the middle. The
power supply could
only be provided from the ceiling area so using the tray provided an ideal
way of hiding any
wiring. This was installed using a smart plug so the team could control
the illumination with
rising power charges.
We also installed an area dedicated to the company values. This was manufactured using
the Signia colour pallet and used vinyl graphics with accents of 5mm and
10mm PVC flat cut
letters.
The first phase was finished off with additional company values in the
meeting area. The
letters were made up from 10mm PVC to provide a feature of the lettering
within the area.
These were placed in a acrostic design.
Different colours were used to reflect the various words and blend in with
the other elements
of the office.
RESULTS
Signia were delighted with not only the products but with the wealth of
knowledge and
experience that FASTSIGNS brought to this project.
We provided a solution that represented the Signia brand with the innovative
and energetic
environment that they were looking for. The overall finish of the signage
really sprung to life
with the use of a bright and vibrant feel that embraced their brand vision
and ethos.
Signia commented on the fantastic level of service and account management
they received
and how important it was to work alongside their partners on these larger projects.
The second phase of the project is now in initial design stages and will
progress during the
Summer of 2022.
