A few months into the global pandemic it became very apparent that the world was not going to be the same for quite some time. Our planet was already paying a heavy price with excess consumerism, so a reduction of waste and haulage damage could only be a benefit to everyone.
FASTSIGNS® Crawley has been a staple in the business community since 1995, delivering high quality signage and graphic solutions across sectors such as education, property, retail, manufacturing, local authority and construction.
We’re extremely proud of the relationships we have built with our customers, and much of this is down to our honest approach, efficient service and quality products. A number of people on the team have been with the business for over 20 years, offering an unrivalled level of skill and expertise in the local area.
A few months into the global pandemic it became very apparent that the world was not going to be the same for quite some time. Our planet was already paying a heavy price with excess consumerism, so a reduction of waste and haulage damage could only be a benefit to everyone. The organic change people encountered happened slowly but will have far reaching effects. We realised a community that shop’s locally will provide a healthier local economy, producing jobs and sustaining prosperity.
The arrival of Covid-19 saw many high street retailers having to reduce customer numbers, limit opening hours and at certain periods shut their doors completely. Worldwide retailers had to make adjustments to their business models in order to stay afloat. We saw people now utilising the option to shop on-line, use home delivery, click/collect and curbside pickup. Businesses have had to learn a new level of diversity when promoting and increasing sales. This has in turn caused a complete shift in spending behaviours with consumers. The upside in trading behaviour due to the pandemic has seen a new wave of opportunities presented in commerce.
Melanie Martinez, Company Director at FASTSIGNS® Crawley recently commented about their commitment to supporting business in the local area and why it is so important to her.
“Having been part of the Crawley Business community for the past 26 years we know the importance of supporting the local businesses. We have always been actively involved in various networking groups like Gatwick Diamond Business and the Manor Royal BID working with like minded people who are on hand to support each other which has been invaluable over the last year. Here at FASTSIGNS where ever we can we prioritise the use of as many local companies and services as possible to operate”
Having recently moved offices, FASTSIGNS used a local removal company to facilitate the operation. D Durrant Removals provided a hands on approach to the project that could only have been offered by a family business. The service we received excelled all our expectations.
The movement of support to local businesses over larger groups and retailers is a heartwarming symbol of solidarity that has brought communities together.
We at FASTSIGNS really think that Covid-19 has shown us the power of our community and hope that this trend continues.
