Co-OwnerMelanie trained at Reigate School of Art and Design in Surrey, where she studied calligraphy, heraldry and traditional sign writing. Following graduation, she was a freelance artist, before joining FASTSIGNS Crawley as designer when it opened in 1995. She later added business development to her role and became the marketing manager before finally buying the centre and becoming a joint owner with Jose and Alan.
Outside of work, Melanie enjoys travel and spending time with friends and family. She regularly combines her two passions by going to visit relatives in Spain with her husband Jose. Always creative, she continues to paint in her spare time and also loves to socialise, cook and entertain. With a passion for live music Melanie never misses the opportunity to go to a gig or concert. -
Jose Martinez

Co-OwnerJose was the first FASTSIGNS UK employee at the pilot centre when it opened in 1993. Like his wife Melanie, he also studied calligraphy, heraldry and traditional sign writing at Reigate Art College. He later joined her at the Crawley Centre as production manager before they purchased the store with Alan and Melanie. Jose's attention to detail is second to none and he ensures the centre runs smoothly overseeing all aspects of production from design, sign making, site surveys, quotes, installation and production management.
A real family man, he likes to spend time with wife and daughters and visit relations in Spain whenever he can. His other hobbies include going to the gym and DIY however his real passion is cars. If he has any spare time he can always be found on the drive tinkering or cleaning the family vehicle. -
Isobel Martin
Key Account Manager Read BioIsobel Martin
Key Account ManagerIsobel is the newest member of the FASTSIGNS Crawley team joining the company in October 2019 as a key account manager. She brings with her a wealth of experience of over 25 years in account management and sales development. Her consultative, enthusiastic approach has already established her as a valuable asset to the FASTSIGNS Crawley team. When Isobel is not working she enjoys spending time with her 2 children and looking after her 5 year old labrador. Her hobbies include crafting in many forms and she loves to socialise with friends, from camping to concerts Isobel is always the life and soul of the party. -
Alan White
Co-Owner Read BioAlan White
Co-OwnerAlan has been with the businesses for 20 years where he started as a sign maker. Before taking on his the role at FASTSIGNS he studied Fine Art at Northbrook College of Art in Horsham. With a passion for design in no time at all his role evolved becoming the main designer then eventually co owner with Melanie and Jose. Over the years, he’s built up a loyal customer base who value the fact that he takes such an active role in their project – from site surveys and quotation, to designing and overseeing production.
When he’s not busy in the studio, Alan likes to spend time with his little boy, see friends and go to concerts. He’s also a keen football player and supporter, who watches matches whenever he can and rarely misses a game at Crawley Town Football Club where FASTSIGNS Crawley are sponsors.
