Brilliant Banners Create Theatrical Success

The Challenge

For the past 20 years, FASTSIGNS has been assisting Bradford Theatre in advertising its upcoming touring stage shows, including popular productions like The Lion King, Mamma Mia, Matilda, and the famous Christmas pantomimes, with large-scale banners fixed to the roof of the building. The advertising banners need to be updated approximately every six weeks to promote new shows.

The Solution

In 2004, FASTSIGNS installed a custom-built frame on top of the historic theatre venue. This created a space to showcase featured events at the theatre, utilising hard-wearing, high-visibility and attractive advertising banners. To ensure the banners can withstand harsh winds, they are fixed to the frame with bungee cords which allow them to flex in the wind, which stops them from being damaged by inclement weather.

Recent town developments and construction works on both sides of the theatre posed significant challenges for banner installation. Due to ongoing construction works, FASTSIGNS adapted their installation methods by using specialist cherry pickers with a longer reach to safely and effectively install the banners despite the obstacles.

The Result

FASTSIGNS has successfully supported Bradford Theatre in advertising its shows for two decades. The purpose-built frame and weather-resistant banners created a highly attractive and visible advertising feature, drawing attention to the theatre's upcoming shows. Despite changes to the installation method, FASTSIGNS worked with their loyal customer to continue delivering exceptional signage that has become a feature of the Bradford skyline.
